  • Press on the Apple menu at the top left side of the display.
  • Select the Shut Down… option on the drop-down menu.
  • Wait some time, and tap and hold the Power Button or Touch ID for booting.
  • Hold on to the power button and keep it pressed until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
  • Release your finger off the power button when Loading startup options appear below the Apple logo.
  • Now you’ll see Startup Drive and Options on the screen.
  • Move the cursor to the Options and press Continue.
  • In the next tab, you’ll see macOS utilities display for recovery mode.
  • Choose Reinstall macOS BigSur option above Safari.
  • Press Continue to proceed further.

Now just follow the onscreen prompt and finish the reinstallation process. While performing the reinstalling macOS process, remember that process can take some time, so don’t press any key during that time. Sometimes reinstallation takes time and sometimes it’s quick, so whatever scenario you face, have patience until you see reinstallation finish.
