Remove Cached Photos from Live Tile

  1. Keep in mind that you have removed the affected pictures through the PC to erase them through the Recycle bin.
  2. Then launch the File Explorer screen and reach the pursuing locations: C:\Users\youruserame\AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowsphotos
  3. You should select the tab of View in the menu then modify the Layout to Large icons.
  4. Now, you can view each cached picture. Find the photos that are showing inside the Live Tiles.
  5. Thereafter, remove both the ‘SmallTile’ and ‘LargeTile’ for the troubling photos.

  12. Then click on the More option.
  13. Later, select the ‘Turn Live Tile On’ option.
  14. Finally, reboot the PC, and then removed pictures will not show on the Photos App Live Tile on Windows 10.

Reinstall the Photos Application

To reinstall the Photos application, pursue these on-screen steps given below:

  1. Firstly, press the Windows icon to invoke the Search bar.
  2. Then type ‘Windows PowerShell (Admin)’ into it and hit the Enter button.
  3. You should reach the PowerShell screen and input the pursuing command, then hit the Enter key: Get-AppxPackage *photo* | Remove-AppxPackage
  4. Now, the PowerShell will display a ‘Deployment operation progress’ text temporarily. The application is uninstalled properly once disappear the message.
  5. You should attempt to launch the Photos application to confirm it’s uninstalled.
  6. Later, launch the ‘Windows Store’ application and browse for the MS Photos application.
  7. Finally, install the application, and the Live Tile issue should be fixed.

Unpin and Pin the Tile Again

To unpin and pin the Tile again, pursue these on-screen steps given below:

  1. At first, hit the Windows icon to invoke the menu.
  2. Go to ‘Photos App Live Tile’ then click on the ‘Unpin from Start.’
  3. You should browse for the Photos application.
  4. Once you get it, right-click on it, then choose the ‘Pin to Start’ option.
  5. Now, check whether the application still displays the old images.
